Kurt Loves Tiaras As Much As I Do

Shockingly to everyone that knows me, I never established myself as a Gleek when Glee debuted on TV last season. I grew up performing on the stage professionally and amateurly from the time I was a tiny little girl in a sparkling (and chic) pink and silver fabulous tap dancing tutu ensemble. I continued to perform singing, dancing, acting and basically loving an audience until I went off to college (ok, I still love an audience, lets be honest, I just make my friends and fam pay attention to me now rather then people buying tickets). Understandably, I should be Glee’s biggest fan, but I have a hard time getting hooked on new shows because I feel it is SUCH a time commitment and I have no idea where I might be on any given week during that time slot (yes, I have DVR and understand the concept, but still).

Anyway, this week I moved into a new apartment and am not even close to being unpacked yet. My tv is still at my friend’s apartment so last night to entertain myself while I should have been unpacking and making my new loft sparkly and chic, I downloaded numerous eps of Glee. I had watched two reruns a few weeks ago and was intrigued.

I AM HOOKED. This show made me want to go audition for Broadway (or off-Broadway… off-off-Broadway??? I am a little out of practice) stat. I love the characters and they remind me so much of the people I know from the theatre company I spent a lot of time with growing up. We had the divas- which I may or may not have been one- the guys that did theatre and also were jocks, the gay boys that love tiaras as much as I do and every other type of fab stereotype on the show.

I recommend this show to everyone, even if you’re not a child who grew up living out their dreams on stage. If nothing else, Mr. Schu and Puck are fabulous to look at. With that, I will leave you with a clip of Puck singing. This clip is a song I love love love, as does any Wisco football fan, as it is one of our favorite songs to sing during games. Enjoy and if you don’t watch, catch the show on itunes so you’ll be all ready for when it comes back next season!
